About Us

Money Ledger Guide explains everyday money topics in plain English. Banks, lenders, insurers and the tax code all use their own vocabulary, and most people only need a clear answer to the question in front of them: what a routing number is, how a HELOC works, or whether gap insurance is worth it.

Every guide starts from that question. We read the leading sources on the topic, check the official guidance from agencies such as the IRS, the CFPB and the FDIC, and then write one page that answers the question fully, in order, without the jargon.

What we cover

How we keep guides accurate

Rules, limits and rates change. We review our most read guides on a regular schedule and update them when an official source changes, so the information on each page stays current.

Our guides are information, not advice

Nothing on this site is personal financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Your situation is your own, so for decisions that matter, speak with a licensed professional. Read our full disclaimer.
